Mystery at Oberforth Manor is a short point and click adventure where you play as a bounty hunter trying to find the person who summoned you to a mysterious manor. Created by Katie Mclain, Jude Pinto, Jay Guisao, Alessia Ianni-Palarchio, and myself. In this project I worked mainly on the movement of the pathfinding code as well as implementation of the dialogue and inventory that were created by the other designers.
In the game you walk around and use dialogue as well as a pick up and combine inventory system to solve puzzles and progress through the manor.
Mystery at Oberforth Manor is an exploration into what a lesbian horror game would look like where you do not kill your characters. The main protagonist along with every person in the game is either non-binary or female identifying and the game is clearly romantically charged. The team wanted to give a voice to lesbian gamers as well as represent gay romance without it being a trope of a larger game.
